Larry Lanier has extensive expertise in government relations and non-profit management based on three decades in the political arena.
Prior to creating LR Lanier Associates, Larry served as President of the National Patient Advocate Foundation, where he managed all aspects of the organization's federal and state advocacy programs , all policy related events, political training, volunteer coordination, fund raising, staff management, management of the organization's budget, and strategic planning.
Throughout his career, Larry has represented both state and national clients as well as directed legislative and political programs in nearly all 50 US states and the nation’s capital. After holding senior management roles for a wide range of professional associations representing health providers for over two decades, Larry has represented the following organizations on both the state and national levels:
During college and post graduate studies, Larry worked for several state agencies as well as the Florida House of Representatives. He has valuable experience in state and federal political campaigns in various roles including volunteer management and campaign strategy, as well as serving successfully as a political campaign advisor.
Larry currently serves on the Oncology Committee for the Alliance for Patient Access, and as Treasurer of the Coalition for Clinical Trials Awareness. He has served on the steering committee for the Patient Equal Access Coalition, the steering committee of the Sun Safety Coalition, and the steering committee for the Memphis Project. He created and implemented a comprehensive volunteer political training program for the National Patient Advocate Foundation. He has provided multiple clients with political training services throughout his career, and worked as a member of the training team for the Political Campaign School of the American Medical Political Action Committee.
Larry Lanier earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Political Science and a Master of Science in Public Policy and Administration from the Florida State University.
